How to send a large file by email link
Send a file that's too big to attach, and find out when it's been downloaded.
Most email accounts won't take attachments much over 20 or 25 MB. Videos, photo sets, design files and big PDFs blow past that quickly. The fix is to send a download link instead of the file itself.
Send a large file in three steps
- Open Agglestone Send and drag your file in. Add the email address of the person it's for, and a message if you like.
- Enter your email and type in the 6-digit code we send you. The upload starts straight away.
- They get an email with a Download file button. We email you when they've downloaded it.
Good to know
- Big uploads go in pieces, so a dropped connection doesn't mean starting again.
- You can also copy the download link and send it in a text or chat.
- Download links are short-lived (currently 7 days), so send it when they're ready to grab it.
- Files are stored in Microsoft Azure data centres in Europe and deleted 30 days after they were last changed.
